Spring/summer 2026

Marching band playing instruments on a street.

We're available to stream!

We're in the process of uploading our catalogue of recorded songs and instrumentals to the main streaming platforms - so far our songs "Lights of St.Ives", "This Shadow", "Rosebud"," Wild Experiment" and "The Promise" - are available, with many more to come!

We're also proud to be included in the Cornish National Music Archives - here's one of ours, with links to others: https://cornishnationalmusicarchive.co.uk/content/lights-of-st-ives/

Workshops and performances

We'll be leading join-in music workshops at Lafrowda Day and Tropical Pressure in July, as well as playing and organising music for the Steeple Woodland Project's Open Day on Sunday 12th.

We also have two events planned for the St Ives September Festival:

12th - Western Hotel 2 - 5 pm - we're hosting the first Cauldron Session as a tribute to Toni Carver

19th - Street Entertainment - we'll be busking some original songs and tunes around the town

New Wood Symphony update

Cornwall Community Fund and Cornwall National Landscape have been supporting our continuing work with children from the Launceston area at our Symphony Woods site. With contributions already made by Coads Green and Altarnun primary schools, we're presently working with Launceston Primary on compositions inspired by the birds found around Bodmin Moor..

We planted oak, hazel and hawthorn at the woods over the winter and installed 2 water tanks at the top to get us through any dry spells. We're also looking forward to participating in the Meadowmatch project to improve the diversity of some of the meadow areas we're retaining on our rewilding site.

Other woodland sessions

As well as Symphony Woods, throughout 2026 we'll be running practical sessions at Badgers Food Forest and Tredavsyl Copse (both near Penzance) - give us a shout for more details if you'd like to come along. Our outdoor musical instruments are coming on so be prepared for some jamming if that's your thing....

Bagas an Norvys

We've been leading the St Ives civic band since last year, which we renamed Bagas an Norvys (Band of the World).

We have reference recordings and notation for the tunes we play, which should help new players get up to speed quickly.  We also hold rehearsals in the build-up to each event - it's all about community and a sense of fun to rather than musical finesse :)

If you play an instrument or dance and would like to be part of these, do contact us (see below).
