We're in the process of uploading our catalogue of recorded songs and instrumentals to the main streaming platforms - so far our songs "Lights of St.Ives", "This Shadow", "Rosebud"," Wild Experiment" and "The Promise" - are available, with many more to come!
We'll be leading join-in music workshops at Lafrowda Day and Tropical Pressure in July. We have a number of performances planned for the September Festival, including a community music event and an evening of original music from our group Dreckly Unchained.
We've just been awarded funding from the Cornwall Community Fund and Cornwall National Landscape to continue our outdoor music composition work with children from the Launceston area at our Symphony Woods site.
The next phase of nature-inspired music will be created with pupils from Launceston and Altarnun primary schools during May and the Summer term
We planted oak, hazel and hawthorn at the woods over the winter and installed 2 water tanks at the top to get us through any dry spells. We're also looking forward to participating in the Meadowmatch project to improve the diversity of some of the meadow areas we're retaining on our rewilding site.
As well as Symphony Woods, throughout 2026 we'll be running practical sessions at Badgers Food Forest and Tredavsyl Copse (both near Penzance) - give us a shout for more details if you'd like to come along. Our outdoor musical instruments are coming on so be prepared for some jamming if that's your thing....
We'll be leading various St.Ives civic processions in 2026, starting with Feast Day in February.
We have reference recordings and notation for the tunes we play, which should help new players get up to speed quickly. We also hold rehearsals in the build-up to each event - it's all about community and a sense of fun to rather than musical finesse :)
We'll be leading the music for May Day celebrations taking place in St.Ives on Mon 4th May, starting at St Ia church and heading along the harbour front.
If you play an instrument or dance and would like to be part of these, do contact us (see below).
