July-August - Come and Drum at Whole Again Communities, Treneere Estate, Penzance. We hosted five join-in music sessions for all-comers as part of WACs All Fired Up cooking skills programme for young people (Supported by Penzance Town Council)
July 12th-14th- Tropical Pressure - Movements Area - we joined our friends Jodie Tellam and One and All Aid to present join-in songs, jams and discussions on how we can heal a deeply divided world
May - July. - We've just finished working with two St.Just schools for the summer term, delivering music taster sessions to support the integration of resettled children (supported by Creative Kernow)
June 22nd - St.Ives Community Orchard Solstice Festival - We hosted a young people's music stage, organised and run by the participants themselves
June 1st - Bude Climate Festival - We hosted all-day community drumming and anything-goes jamming sessions at this inaugural event on the theme of reducing plastics and other landfill - while reusing stuff found at the Bude Two Minute Beach Clean to add to the orchestra!
May 27th - Penzance Community Day - We provided drop-in jamming sessions and the like for all ages in Morrab Gardens, next to our friends from One and All Aid.
Monday May 13th - We performed two sets of at the St.Ives Town Council's annual awards function, at the Tate, St.Ives
Sunday April 21st - We performed our songs "Rosebud", "Wild Experiment" and "All hands on deck" at the Swim in Support of the Sea event, at Gwithian beach
Friday 19th April - The CORE - St.Ives Community Orchard. We performed at the opening event for this fantastic new community learning hub
Sat 13th April - PEACE- HOPE - PARTY at the Yacht in Penzance - we played a set at this community event which raised over £5000 for Medical Aid Palestine
2023
Community drumming in Penzance - We held a series of join-in music sessions at the Street Food Project in Penzance (see short film below). We're hoping to resume these in the near future
Rhythms Alive at Cornwall College - A recent project involving music workshops with a group of teenaged asylum seekers. We're looking to continue this involvement in 2024
Community performances 2023:
We performed at the Edward Hain Centre, St.Ives as part of an event celebrating its successful creation
Also in 2023 - we hosted events at Badgers Food Forest Open Day and the St.Ives September Festival (St.Ives Arts Club) with our Songs of Community
