Community drumming in Penzance
We've just been awarded funding by Penzance Town Council to support the Street Food Project by offering join-in music sessions for their service users, staff and the wider community
Community performances 2023
We performed at the Edward Hain Centre, St.Ives on 10th Sept as part of a event celebrating its successful creation
We've recently hosted events at Badgers Food Forest Open Day and St.Ives September Festival at the St.Ives Arts Club with our Songs of Community.
All Hands on Deck!
A project about to launch in which we're working with youth groups and campaigners such as Clean Ocean Sailing to raise awareness of ocean pollution through musical workshops using instruments made from sea junk. Our song of the same name is currently being shared around campaign groups and has been used in a brilliant new film by Oli Riley film about the threats faced by St.Ives Bay
These Shoes!
We've been collaborating with indigenous music leader Victor Kabile Sithole and a primary school in Kwazulu Natal province, South Africa to produce a new version of our song The Shoes. Victor has drawn on his own traditions and the hard realities of life in rural South Africa to present a wider perspective on the song - poetic, resonant and compelling. We're dying to get this finished so we can share as soon as possible!
Tall-tale Tom (film)
We're working with incredible St,Ives artist Fred Williams on another animated film! This one is about the (possible) dark origins of a famous St.Ives riddle - all to an original soundtrack featuring numerous local cats
The Promise (film)
A story of "what goes around comes around" during life's bumpy ride. Currently in production, with an original soundtrack featuring Sylvie and Treve Nicol on vocals. Perhaps appropriately, this has turned into a stop-start project, reflecting our own ups and downs - but it'll happen!
